Google launched its Podcast app back in June this year to promote and bring the podcast listening trend among people. Now, the company has announced to initiate the Google Podcasts Creator program. The program aims to help the underrepresented podcasts creators across the globe to get a global platform and share their creativity. With the help of the program, Google aims to give podcasts industry a significant breakthrough to access a vast number of audience.
According to Google, it has been working hard to make it easier for the people to access quality podcasts easily. There are an endless number of podcasts creators around the globe which makes it tough for the company add them all to the app. This is why Google has started the Podcasts Creator campaign that will give the opportunity to some the best podcast creators to make their dream come true. The participation application window is open now, and you can apply for the program till 18th November 2018. PXR, the renown podcast company is the campaign partner of Google and will be taking care of the entire campaign.
“The Google Podcasts creator program is focused on three main pillars: empowering and training underrepresented voices through an accelerator program, educating a global community with free tools, and showcasing participants’ work as a model for others,” Google wrote on its blog. Besides, the applicants can take participation belonging to any part of the world. PXR will receive the application and will select some of best applicants to provide seed funding, mentorship, and 20-week-long training.
The podcasts program form Google will give a golden opportunity to the creators around the globe to show their skills. The company also mentioned that the first round of Podcasts Creator program will start in January 2019.
“For podcast enthusiasts that want to learn more about what it takes to create a podcast, but are not yet ready to apply to the program, PRX will draw on learnings from the program to develop a series of broadly accessible podcasting 101 videos in multiple languages, as well,” wrote Google.
